Exercise: Judging Colour Temperature 1

The 3 images below were all shot using the 'Daylight' white balance setting and, barring cropping, are unedited. I think it would be fair to say that the image on the left, which was shot under a direct midday sun and with the recommended white balance setting, looks the most accurate. The central image was shot in the shade and looks far too blue, certainly more blue than I recall - there was a clear blue sky on the day and this certainly accounts for this. The low sun image, although attractive, is more orange than I remember it at the time.
